BOOTH INFORMATION
Lexington Homecoming No. 42 is scheduled for May 1 thru 4, 2008. It is time to get foods, crafts, games, etc.
lined up for a week-end of fun.
If you would like to be apart of this years activities, please complete the application and return it to the
Chamber office as soon as possible.
Deadline is April 30.
Print the booth application that
covers Food Booths, Games and Craft Booths.
FOOD BOOTHS will be assigned on a first-come, first served basis with each organization given the opportunity to
sell the same food sold last year. Foods to be unique to each booth. Booth Fee - $35.00.
Lexington Chamber of Commerce has pledged to limit sale of food items to local non-profit organizations. However,
those who attend Homecoming need to have foods available Friday Night, Saturday Noon and Saturday Night.
Bar-B-Q Contestants give samples from their pits on Saturday night, but some food items need to be available for
purchase before and during the dance. The Chamber will be selling Hot-Dogs and Soft Drinks. Other non-profit
organizations are urged to consider selling food items on Friday Night.
Of course, the main demand for foods is at noon time on Saturday when the parade is over and the town square is
full to overflowing. Because there is a Dance on Saturday night and if the weather permits, many folks return to
the square and there is need for food to be available on Saturday Night also. The Chamber will again sell Hot-Dogs
and Soft Drinks on Saturday Night. Other non-profit organizations are urged to consider selling food items on
Saturday Night.
Due to the agreement with the soft drink vendor, the Chamber will have exclusive rights to sell commercial soft
drinks; other entities may sell non-commercial drinks (such as tea, water, lemonade, etc.)
There will be a meeting the week before Homecoming of all non-profit food vendors who have submitted
applications to work out details of a schedule which will assure that foods are available to meet the needs of the
Homecoming crowd and enable our local non-profits to reap maximum financial benefit for each organization. It is
imperative that a representative of each organization attend this scheduling meeting.
GAME BOOTHS will be located on the Town Square - The booth fee is also $35.00.
The games add entertainment for the young folks who attend Homecoming and serves as a means to earn dollars for
school, church non-profits.
CRAFT BOOTHS - Each 10x10 space on Wheatly Street adjacent to the square is also $35.00 and will be assigned
on a first come first serve basis. Former participants may request previously occupied locations. The Chamber
reserves the right to bar any craft item deemed offensive or in poor taste.
